hamburger Burgers with Brie and Mushrooms - This is what I refer to as a “Gourmet Hamburger”. The mushrooms are nice but the brie adds that extra flare that makes this burger unique.

Ingredients to make Burgers with Brie and Mushrooms

1 cup (250 mL) sliced cleaned mushrooms

1 onion, chopped

1 tbsp (30 mL) melted butter

1 lb (500 g) lean ground beef

Pepper and steak spice, to taste

5 oz (150 g) Canadian Brie cheese, sliced

4 hamburger buns or Kaiser

Directions to make Burgers with Brie and Mushrooms

Step 1:In skillet, sauté mushrooms and onion in butter for 4 minutes. Set aside.
Step 2:Form ground beef into 4 even patties and season to taste with pepper and steak spice.
Step 3:Grill over medium-high heat for 4 minutes on each side.
Step 4:Just 3 minutes before burgers are done, top each one with 2 slices of Canadian Brie cheese.
Step 5:Heat buns on top shelf. Close lid and continue cooking.
Step 6:Place burgers in warm buns and garnish with sautéed mushrooms and onion. Serve with chips.
